OPPO is slated to launch second-gen Enco X TWS earbuds soon
OPPO started a new flagship for its Enco series of TWS earbuds on securing a partnership to co-design them with Dynaudio. The OEM asserts that the resulting X accessories are rated for "digitally precise" audio as a result, and also have in-house DBEE 3.0 Sound System technology for "Hi-Fi" quality.
Now, the company is slated to make similar claims for the first time since 2020. According to an image shared by the typically reliable leaker Ice Universe, these buds will have a very similar design to their predecessors, as will their charging case. However, these newer versions will still be called the X2s.
Nothing else is known about these putative flagships, although Ice Universe projects they are destined to uphold its series' reputation for "good sound quality performance". However, they might be expected to have a USB type-C port for charging and to feature Bluetooth 5.2 with the LHDC codec, and to start at about US$150 - should they exist, of course.
Similarly, there are no hints as to an Enco X2 launch date, although the general Chinese New Year window (in or around February 2022) is often a popular target for OEMs with new products.
