Following a mid-season bye week, the Ohio State football team was back to business as usual with a dominant win over Indiana. Back in Columbus, Ohio State is now gearing up for a night game against Penn State. The main focus of the Buckeyes’ coaching staff remains on this season, but as is always with Ohio State, recruiting never stops. In case you missed Ohio State making the recruiting headlines Monday, don’t worry as Land-Grant Holy Land has you covered.

Weekend visitor list grows

Ohio State has to love being able to play host to recruits this year on both official and unofficial visits. It is one of the program’s top recruiting tools as few things compare to the atmosphere created in ‘The Shoe’ on Saturdays. This atmosphere grows even more electric when the Buckeyes play host to one of the Big Ten’s top teams, like this week as the team will play host to Penn State.

With a night game scheduled for Saturday, campus and Ohio Stadium in particular will be a sight to see — especially for recruits who have not yet been able to experience Columbus on game days. In addition, Ohio State is using another recruiting tool it has in its arsenal, debuting all-scarlet jerseys this year with the school’s partnership with Nike. All facets combined, and it is no wonder Ohio State is using this weekend as one of its top recruiting weekends.

“Ohio State was huge. Coach Skinn is from where I’m from so that connection will always be strong.... I love shooting, I would call myself a good shooter. I can get to the rim at any point off the dribble which is also a part of my game and I can play above the rim grab rebounds. I want to work on my handles and defense for sure.”
