Jets are a TD Underdog vs Patriots

The New York Jets are coming off their bye week to face a reeling New England Patriots team that has incredibly lost all four home games they have played this season. For a team that has spent the last two decades being nearly invincible at home, this is a stunning development. Clearly these are not the same Patriots the NFL has come to fear and loathe. These Patriots are not very good. They are vulnerable. But are they ripe for the picking at home against the Jets? The odds say no.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Patriots are 6.5 point favorites against the Jets this Sunday. Given that the home field is worth about three points, the Patriots are only considered 3.5 points better than the Jets on a neutral field. That is a better situation than the Jets have seen in quite some time, but bettors still like the Patriots by almost a touchdown in this game. Given how lost Bill Belichick’s defense made Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson look a few weeks ago in East Rutherford, you can hardly quibble with the betting line.

The Moneyline odds are New York Jets +270 / New England Patriots -350.

The Over/Under for the game is 43.

What do you think Jets fans? Will the Jets beat the odds in this game?
