LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Boston College women's soccer team topped the Louisville Cardinals, 2-1, on Friday afternoon at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium.
 
Laura Gouvin and Jenna Bike scored the Eagles in the ACC win while goalkeeper Wiebke Willebrandt made four saves for the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 17' | Gouvin curled in corner kick that hit the far post and went in to the net.
• 50' | A Louisville clearance fell to the left side of the box and Bike controlled it and fired a shot under the crossbar.
• 87' | A long ball over the top get touched down to Julia Simon and Simon ran on to it and slotted it past Wiebke Willebrandt. 

GAME NOTES

• Louisville had the 16-10 lead in shots … the Cardinals had a 6-3 lead in corner kicks.
• The Eagles are now 4-3-0 in the all-time series with Louisville … the Eagles have a mark of 2-2-0 on the road.
• Laura Gouvin's goal marked her third of the season.
• Jenna Bike scored her fourth goal of the season … Bike now has 11 points on four goals and three assists … it was her first game-winning goal of the season.
• Goalkeeper Wiebke Willebrandt finished with four saves for the Eagles.

UP NEXT

• Boston College will continue its three-game road stretch with a visit to Pitt on Thursday, Oct. 21.
• The Eagles will then head to Virginia Tech on Sunday, Oct. 24 before returning home to host Clemson for the regular season finale on Thursday, Oct. 28.
