Bullish Pep Guardiola insists he won't guarantee ANYONE in City's squad playing time and says they 'must prove it on the pitch' after Raheem Sterling revealed he is considering leaving over lack of game-time this season

Pep Guardiola said no player in his Manchester City dressing room is guaranteed to play - just 24 hours on from Raheem Sterling revealing he would consider his future if his game-time doesn't increase.

No player has ever appeared in more matches managed by Pep Guardiola at City, yet the 26-year-old has started only one league game since the opening weekend of the season.

In Friday's press conference, questions dominated around Sterling's comments and while Guardiola expressed surprise - he said he 'didn't know' the player was questioning his City future - he refused to offer any player a guarantee on minutes.
