Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders to open this week in over 60 countries as hands-on images leak
Apple has finally confirmed the pre-order and shipping dates for the Watch Series 7, which it announced last month. Initially, the company stated that the smartwatches would arrive in the autumn, albeit without giving specifics.
In a press release, the company states that the Watch Series 7 will launch on Friday, October 8, at 05:00 PDT (UTC 12:00). In a footnote, Apple clarifies that the Watch Series 7 will be available in over 60 countries at launch, including the following:
- Australia
- Canada
- China
- France
- Germany
- India
- Japan
- Mexico
- Russia
- South Korea
- UAE
- UK
- US
The Watch Series 7 will then reach stores a week later, the same day when Apple will begin shipping pre-orders. For reference, Apple will continue to sell the Watch SE and Watch Series 3 alongside the Watch Series 7.
Incidentally, MacRumors has re-published hands-on photos of a Watch Series 7. Reputedly, someone posted the images on an Apple Watch enthusiast Facebook group, before deleting them soon after. To date, Apple has only showcased the Watch Series 7 in marketing and promotional shots, which may explain why these photos did not last long before they were removed.
