Calgary Flames sign Erik Gudbranson and Michael Stone to one-year deals

Free agent defenseman Erik Gudbranson signed a one-year, $1.95 million contract with the Calgary Flames on Friday.

Gudbranson, 29, split last season with his hometown Ottawa Senators and the Nashville Predators.

He collected one goal and two assists in 36 games with the Senators before being acquired by Nashville on April 12 in exchange for prospect Brandon Fortunato and a seventh-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. He had one assist in nine games with the Predators.

Gudbranson has recorded 77 points (21 goals, 56 assists) in 563 career games with the Florida Panthers, Vancouver Canucks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, Senators and Predators.
