Indianapolis Colts above 80% COVID-19 vaccination rate after several players receive shot

The NFL announced on Wednesday that zero teams remain under 80% vaccination rate for COVID-19. This means the Indianapolis Colts are now making significant headway towards more freedoms for players with less restrictions.

After Carson Wentz, Ryan Kelly and Zach Pascal all had to sit out practice recently due to COVID-19 contact tracing, it brought major scrutiny upon the organization. If Indianapolis is above 80%, that means at least 43/53 players are vaccinated. For the Colts to reach the 85% threshold, two or three more players would need to receive the shot.

It’s a looming concern for the Colts heading into the 2021-22 season, especially with so many key players reportedly unvaccinated: Wentz, Kelly, Pascal, Quenton Nelson, Eric Fisher, Ryan Kelly, Braden Smith, Darius Leonard, Julian Blackmon.
