    A beautiful suburban city with a humid subtropical climate that lasts all year long which makes the city more amazing.

    Pharr is a small city with an estimated population of 79,112. The city has a great collection of schools and two universities along with the well-known Pharr memorial library. Pharr’s economy is mainly based on local industries and businesses. The city has a bridge that connects the United States to the Reynosa city of Mexico.

    Being able to give away a subtropical feel, the city has provided great locations for many movies that are mainly related to the stories that happened on the Mexican border. Some of them are listed below.

    Gus is a former soldier of the United States army who has worked hard for the nation comes back to his hometown after having a break after a very long time. His home city is small in south Texas. His whole life changes after he sees the situation where he felt that he is the unluckiest person in the world as the girl whom he loved before leaving the city, has gotten together with his best friend with whom he shared everything before leaving for the army. The movie shows how Gus deals with the shocking and heartbreaking situation with the feeling of being betrayed by the closest people he once considered the most important people in his life.

    The Battle: Cinco de Mayo (2009)

    An action-thriller story written by Eduardo Shilinsky and directed by Paul Miller.

    The story follows the Battle of Puebla that took place on the 5th of May in 1862 between the French army and the Mexican army. The battle took place during the second intervention in Mexico. This got named after the city of Puebla where the battle was initiated. The Mexican army won again the French army and it ended by killing almost 500 people from both French and Mexican armies and more percentage was from the French army. This winning moment is celebrated annually on the 5th of May and the Puebla city is the major venue of celebrations. And also the day is declared as a public holiday in Mexico.
