Firefighters block off Broadway after a projectile shatters apartment window

(OAKLAND, Calif.) Firefighters blocked off a section of Broadway after a projectile shattered the window of an apartment 30 stories up, sending glass onto the sidewalk and street below, KTVU reports.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. Firefighters responded to the scene at 447 17th Street. Ambulances were also at the scene although it is unclear if there were any injuries involved.

Witnesses reported seeing glass from the outer pane shattering and falling to the street. The type of projectile that shattered the window has not been determined.
