Ohio singer receives Golden Buzzer at America's Got Talent stageNightbirde's Facebook

Ohio's Jane Marczewski, who performs under the name Nightbirde, wowed America's Got Talent judges this week with her original song "It's okay".

Judge, Simon Cowell, hit the Golden Buzzer after Nightbirde's stunning performance, saying the song really moved him, as it did the audience members who displayed their appreciation with a standing ovation and tears.

"Everything about that was really special," Cowell told her after pressing the buzzer.

A Golden Buzzer gives Marczewski an instant pass to the live shows of America's Got Talent.

"Thank you Simon Cowell, for the most unforgettable moment of my life." she posted on Instagram.

And it's not just Simon Cowell who thinks she's great. Fans in their thousands are sharing their appreciation for the Ohio singer too.

I just heard you sing and I was moved to tears. You transform your pain into something so beautiful...
Thank you for being such a light in the world --Comment's fan, Janice on Nightbirde's blog
Your song is amazing, your voice is angelic. Your beautiful outlook on life is everything we should all aspire to. Thank you. --comment's Michyulo on Instagram

Nightbirde is from Zanesville in Ohio and at 30 years old has already had cancer three times in her life. She has now been given a 2% chance of survival.

"But 2% is not zero percent," she said after singing her song on AGT.

Fans are especially inspired by her positivity and comment after she sung:

"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy."

The original song "It's Okay" which Nightbirde sung for AGT was released as a single in 2020, with both a dance mix and softer "cry" mix.

Marczewski is also vulnerably and beautifully shares her journey with cancer, her marriage breakup, and her faith in God with fans on her blog.

I was a universe of swollen questions, slouching in the passenger seat. I stared out the window through the flatlands, and the tunnels under mountains, through the snow and the hills and the rain and the heat. I let it all pass through me. Grief can take so many forms.  --Jane Marczewski
