CUYAHOGA, CLEVELAND — Summer is just around the corner, and your young ones at home will be looking for things to do. The Cuyahoga County Library might be able to provide you with an answer, as it’s holding events every week all through June.

Give your children the opportunity to discover fun activities while learning new things! There are a variety of activities for your family and kids to join, from art and crafts to summer reading. Participate in all the free activities provided by the library, and don’t waste all the fun you can get.

Here are five children activities provided by the Cuyahoga Public Library:

    1. Children’s Take & Make Activity Bag

Parents, if you are still thinking over what to do with your kids, drop by the library and pick up a Take and Make Activity Bag (while supplies last). This activity bag will provide you with craft kits that include directions and supplies for two or more crafts. It is suitable for children aged 3-8 with supervision.

    2. Tales to Go

Have an animal-themed storytime at home! There will be new themes, books, and packets every week during the Summer Reading Game.

    3. Story Craft for Kids with Terribly Cute Tiger Bookmark

Read a fun story while making a fun craft! Stop by the library and pick up this month’s Story Craft Kit and have fun reading and crafting time with your children at home. Not appropriate for children under the age of 3 because it includes small parts.

    4. Grab & Go Storytime Kits

Do storytimes at home for your children aged 1 to 6 with the Storytime kit, including two themed stories, an activity sheet, and a crafting game.

    5. Grab & Go Beginning Reader Kits

The library also provides kits for children with level 1-reader books to help your children develop their reading and comprehension skills while having fun with activities provided in the kit.

All of the activities above can be found in this week’s library events and available in any library branch.
