ATLANTA — Oglethorpe University has named Brad Blitz as their first Dean of Student Success. Blitz will provide leadership and vision to create an in-depth advising strategy and model for student success that helps academic progress, degree completion, and retention. His term in this new role will start on June 14.

In addition, he also developed advising resources, policies, and protocols to support advisors and formed a dynamic student population dashboard and log for advisors to monitor student outreach.

Blitz got his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Winona State University, a Master of Education in Human Resource Development, Adult Education from the University of Minnesota, and is pursuing a Ph.D. at Georgia State University in Educational Psychology.
