Brown Cow Ice Cream Parlor - Forest Park, IL Restaurant Review

I am constantly on the lookout for a unique ice cream experience that also offers homemade delicious flavors. This place does exist and it's called The Brown Cow Ice Cream Parlor in Forest Park.

I have been coming to The Brown Cow for years and felt so sad that during the pandemic they had to shut their doors. I was so happy to find out they were doing a remodel of their establishment to make it better than ever.

Located Forest Park, the original building that now occupies The Brown Cow was a 1913 movie theater. As soon as you walked in, you would get the smell of the ice cream cones being made and the sweet smell of ice cream with a 1920s overall look to the place.

The new remodel now offers all the same great esthetic of the old building, with some great added features. I personally love that they added a drive-up window now to get your ice cream fix on the go. They also added a glass window inside the restaurant to watch the ice cream being made in the back.

They also have added a VIP club where one can get samples daily for new flavors in a Brown Cow branded ice cream pack free with the purchase of a VIP plan.

I love so many items on their menu, but my favorites are Payton's Cinful Sundae with cinnamon ice cream, Ellies Turtle Temptation, and their Banana splits.

They also have fantastic shakes in any of their 21 flavors. I also love their fantastic ice cream sandwiches that fulfill anyone’s sweet tooth. They also make specialty ice cream cakes that can be customized for all occasions.

I love the memories this place gives me of summertime fun and time with friends and family. I also love the quality of their ice cream and the care they take to make everything perfect.
