One-Millionth Seagrass Planted Honoring World Environment day

Sea & Shoreline announced the planting of their one-millionth seagrass in honor of World Environment Day on June 5th.

Sea & Shoreline has planted more plants in marine environments, fresh and brackish water than any other company in the world. As the world's largst spaicalist in planting seagrass and other submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) celebrates reaching the monumental milestone of planting its one-millionth plant.

The one million aquatic plants are a solution to corrupt aquatic environments across Florida waterways. Seagrass and (SAV) is planted to improve conditions caused by pollution, algal blooms and poor water treatment infrastructure.

Seagrass is the key to crystal clear water. It cleans the water, stabilizes the sediment, and provides food and habitat for fish and animals, and sequesters harmful nutrients that cause algae.

Sea & Shoreline maintains the world’s largest aquaculture nursery with a variety of seagrasses that are ready to plant . It then plants the grasses underwater, protects them with a cage and maintains their new habitat until they're strong enough to grow on their own.

New Florida Waterway Projects

Two new restoration projects were awarded to Sea & Shorline by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservations Commission. Those projects start this week at Lake Istokpoga and another in St. Andrews Bay.

Unbalanced ecosystems pose health risks to human beings, plants and animals that rely on the water to live. Unhealthy or ”dead” aquatic ecosystems contain little to no life.

Sea & Shorlines mitigates the body of water to allow a thriving aquatic environment. They take dirty, mucky, algae-dominated bodies of water, and turn them into beautiful, healthy, clean, clear, sustainable ecosystems that support plants, fish, animals, anglers, ecotourism, and local economies.

Seagrass cleans the water, stabilizes the sediment, and provides food and habitat for fish and animals, and sequesters harmful nutrients that cause algae. Sea & Shoreline dredges to provide a clean substrate. Then they plant seagrass, protect it, and maintain it.
