I have a dirty little secret.

I love going to Ron’s Drive-In on Sprague in the Spokane Valley. Sure, it isn’t as cheap and low quality as Dick’s downtown, but it is close. I don't often like going to low-quality, cheap burger places. I like it when things are cheap, but I would rather have high-quality food.

The problem is that I love going there for a cheap burger.

They taste great, they aren’t expensive, and it is an easy pickup. The other thing about this place is that it reminds me of burger places when I was a kid. Which it should because it looks like it had been around for decades.

Turns out, Ron’s Drive-In has been around since 1958, so, it is older than me. Which is fine. Because I love stopping in and getting a burger there.

Oddly enough, this is the only place in town where my standards for locally sourced ingredients, cheap price, and great atmosphere go out the window. Probably because I love going through the drive-thru, getting a cheap burger, and going about my day.

It is fast, easy, and tastes great.

    The Details On Ron’s Drive-In

For a place like this, the details may not make as much a difference for most people, but it is important to know when you can stop in for a burger any day of the week so you can enjoy an old-fashioned drive-thru experience.

    Location

Ron’s Drive-In is located on east Sprague just east of Pines Road. You can dine in, pick up, or go through the drive-thru. The parking lot is expansive and their drive-thru fits a ton of cars. It is an easy place to come in and out of fast.

    Hours

Their hours of operation are Sunday through Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. This is great for lunch, dinner, and an evening stop-in if you are out running errands.

    Menu

Ron’s Drive-In Menu is pretty basic. The usual drive-thru foods of fries, burgers, milkshakes, chicken strips. There really isn’t anything that stands out from the typical options. At its core, this is a place for a cheap burger.

    Final Thoughts

Growing up, we had a drive-in like this in my town. The menu was similar. So was the atmosphere. What most people did was go through the drive-thru for a burger, fries, and shake. That's what my dad and I would do after t-ball games or after football games, we would go watch. It was part of our sporting experience too.

Ron’s Drive-In brings back those memories for me.

I would bet for you that might happen too. There is this strangely nostalgic experience when you go through an old burger drive-thru. Especially when you order the cheap burger and fries with your kids and drive off to your next errand.

It is worth stopping in and getting a burger if you are out in the Spokane Valley. It is convenient if you work out there and completely worth your time to grab some food and go.
