The food scene in Cincinnati has really been growing rapidly in the past few years but unfortunately due to the pandemic, it has been very difficult for many establishments and the culinary scene was hard hit. Despite all the difficulties and obstacles, the Queen City of the West has continued to persevere and many of the restaurants have begun to reach new heights. Here are a few of these restaurants to check out over the weekend.

    1. The Lonely Pine Steakhouse

The Lonely Pine Steakhouse was created by Jacob Trevino who is very well known around the area for many of the themed bars he had previously put to life. This restaurant is actually Trevino's first leave from the traditional bar establishment and into the restaurant scene. The Lonely Pine Steakhouse itself draws inspirations from the highway from Trevino's past life, Route 66 found in the state of Texas.

The Lonely Pine Steakhouse can be found located at 6085 Montgomery Rd.

    2. Tickle Pickle Restaurant

Tickle Pickle Restaurant might be a fun name but originally the restaurant was almost called Buns n Roses instead. The name Tickle Pickle was overriding as the staff voted to veto the Buns n Roses name for this burger restaurant. The burgers are all following a rock and roll theme and many of the popular burger items are called names like Bread Zepplin or Meatallica.

Tickle Pickle Restaurant can be found located at 4176 Hamilton Ave.

    3. Bridges Nepali Cuisine

Bridges Nepali Cuisine brings about a food that is not as commonly found in the state of Ohio and that is Nepali food. The owner Ashak Chipalu is from Nepal and after immigrating to the United States had always wanted to bring Nepali cuisine to the country and at Bridges Nepali Cuisine, Ashak Chipalu truly aims to create an establishment that can bridge the gap between America and Nepali food.

Bridges Nepali Cuisine can be found located at 4165 Hamilton Ave.

    4. Parts & Labor

Parts & Labor is quite a new addition to the restaurant scene and instead of being a restaurant in the traditional sense, actually offers patrons the option to have a meal prep style meal with take and bake sets which diners can take back to the comfort of their own homes to enjoy. Parts & Labor offers a seasonal menu that changes with time to include various items. Some of the most popular items in the past have included items like miso butter grilled cheese and the fried oysters.

Parts & Labor can be found located at 3715 Madison Rd.

    5. Dear Restaurant & Butchery

Dear Restaurant & Butchery was first started up by a husband and wife duo that had a very extensive knowledge and experience with the hospitality industry. Austin and Ashley Heidt paired up in addition to their marriage to also become business partners in this new endeavor in creating a wonderful restaurant that included a butchery right next door as well. The menu itself has a strong focus on fine dining and has excellent wine pairings to go with all the food.

Dear Restaurant & Butchery can be found located at 2710 Erie Ave.

    6. Camp Washington Chili

Camp Washington Chili does Cincinnati Chili very will with a delicious and rich all meat chili. The dish itself will probably be very familiar to any Cincinnati or Ohio locals that have grown up with the dish. For those that are not as familiar with Cincinnati chili, the chili itself is very different from traditional chili and is most commonly served over spaghetti noodles and lathered with cheese on top. Camp Washington Chili is a great choice to experience this classic and local dish.

Camp Washington Chili can be found located at 3005 Colerain Ave.
