    Man arrested for allegedly robbing elderly woman in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood

    (SAN FRANCISCO) Police in San Francisco arrested a man who allegedly robbed a woman one week ago in the city's Tenderloin neighborhood.

    On May 21 at 12:18 p.m., Tenderloin Station officers on patrol in the 500 block of Market Street saw a man chasing another man while yelling for the man to stop, according to a news release.

    They detained the man, later identified as 31-year-old Ryan Preston of San Francisco. He had stolen a cell phone and bag from a 65-year-old woman in the area of Sansome and Sutter streets.

    Preston was arrested on suspicion of robbery, elder abuse and possession of stolen property, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
