High-End Seafood Restaurant Truluck’s Opens in DC May 22
This new DC restaurant had us at Stone Crab Lounge!
Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab is finally having its much-awaited opening on Saturday, May 22nd at Anthem Row (700 K Street NW).
An airy double-story space with chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows, and red leather banquet booths, the DC location of this premier, high-end seafood restaurant marks the 12th Truluck’s nationwide and will offer lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
Sadly, Truluck’s signature Florida Stone crab will not be on the opening menu — only because it’s out of season — but diners can linger over South African lobster tail, colossal pan-seared New England scallops, and flavorful Hawaiian tuna crudo on their early visits after opening as they wait for Stone crab to be available later in the Stone Crab Lounge. An array of prime beef cuts are also available.
Truluck's has been named as a “Top 100 Restaurant in America” by OpenTable diners and has been much-awaited by area foodies.
Washingtonians will finally get a taste of Chef Laurence Cohen’s fresh signature seafood fare at Truluck’s including the succulent South African lobster tail (top left), Dutch Yellowtail (top right), a refreshing plate of Hawaiian tuna crudo (bottom left) and lightly seared New England scallops (bottom right). And here's something special! As part of an extended Military Appreciation Month, active military and veterans with valid ID can receive a complimentary dessert at the new Truluck’s location through mid-June.
Truluck's hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Business casual attire is requested.
