Mombasa is an island off the coast of Kenya, a tropical Island, with white sandy beaches and palm trees.

Here are some things you can do to get your blood pumping.

1.Snorkelling/ Scuba-diving: Diani, also known as South Coast is the best place to experience this, because the water is more clear and has the most aquatic creatures, without the interference of coral. Most hotels do offer a Padi Certification, so can learn how to scuba dive when you are on holiday. The hotel can organize, a dive, but they are also boats located on the beach that aren't owned by the hotels but by individuals and they can take you for a snorkel, feed the fish on the coral, and sometimes during low tide a sandbank appears. Since these boats are business outside the hotel they do charge between $50-$75 per person.

2.Water-sports: Hotels located on the beach do offer Jet-skis, Kite Surfing, Paddle Board, and Kayaking. Diani is the best place to experience Watersports because of the lack of restrictions when it comes to endangering the fragile coral system that is on the North Coast. In the North Coast and also South Coast they are establishments that cater to a different variety of Water- Sports. Some examples YUL's, Tribe Watersports Watamu, and H2O Extreme Diani.

3.Quad and Buggy Tours: Experience Diani, by interacting with the locals and visiting villages, by renting a Quad Bike or a Buggy, from a company called xplorediani.

4.Paddle/Kayak through the Mida Creek: The Mida Creek, is located in Watamu. This Creek is covered with Mangrove trees. The trees guide a path to the ocean, paddling between the Mangrove Forests give you a chance to experience the animals that are part of the Mangrove ecosystem.

    5. Deep-sea Fishing: The best place to experience this, is Watamu. It ranges around $612 for a 6- hour trip, https://www.africanmeccasafaris.com/travel-guide/kenya/towns-city/mombasa/tours-activities/deep-sea-fishing. Hemingways Watamu offers this when you stay with them. You can also go to deep-sea fishing in Diani.

    Bonus Tip

Dolphin Sup: South Coast has recorded that approx 100 dolphins have been spotted in coastal water. So with a paddleboard, you can embark on a Dolphin Safari. Check out https://www.tribe-watersports.com/dolphin-sup/ For further details
