Newport man arrested for DUI, parole violation
CHARLESTON — A Newport man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence after being stopped for speeding on VT RT 105, authorities said Wednesday. Dalton Cote, 27, was stopped by troopers around 7:17 p.m. Monday for traveling at 68 mph in a 50 mph zone.
Coventry man arrested for violating release conditions, driving with suspended license
COVENTRY — A Coventry man was arrested early Thursday morning after a traffic stop revealed he was driving with a suspended license and violating court-ordered conditions of release. At approximately 12:40 a.m. on May 3, Vermont State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Route 2 near North Danville Road.
Newport man faces federal gun charges
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Newport man is facing federal charges in connection with several guns stolen from a local shop. According to court paperwork, Tucker Jacobs, 27, was arrested last week in violation of a court-ordered curfew. When police searched him, they say they found one of the 10 guns stolen from Wrights Sports Supply on April 15th. They say he also had a photo of numerous guns connected to that incident on his phone.

MORGAN — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on VT RT 111 near Twin Camps Rd at 7:37 p.m. Thursday where they arrested a Derby woman for suspected impaired driving. Tara Cote, 35, of Derby, was driving her 2022 Audi Q3 when she crashed, causing front-end damage to her vehicle.

Lyndonville woman arrested for DUI after found passed out with glass pipe
LYNDONVILLE — A local woman was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, according to the Lyndonville Police Department. Meagan Tellier, 39, of Corinth, was discovered by an officer at approximately 3:10 a.m. on April 29 in a vehicle at 85 US Route 2 in St. Johnsbury.

EDEN — A single-vehicle crash left a Jeep Cherokee on its side near box number 6539 on Route 100, but the driver escaped injury, Vermont State Police reported.
