A Pennsylvania third-grader is being recognized for saving his friend and classmate’s life by performing the Heimlich maneuver. Recently, nine-year-old Liam Dougherty was having lunch at Shaull Elementary School in Enola when he saw that his friend was choking. Heavy thunderstorms, power outages hit central Pa. Wednesday morning
Loud thunderstorms with heavy rain and lightning crossed central Pennsylvania early this morning, and power outages have been reported. The National Weather Service in State College said the storms are starting to wind down as of 5:30 a.m. Affected areas include Perry, Lancaster, York, Adams, Cumberland, Lebanon and Dauphin counties.
