Donald Trump didn't hold back during an animated rally at a New Jersey beachfront on Saturday to an 80,000-strong crowd. The former President ripped in to President Joe Biden , as well as going off on a bizarre rant about hot dogs.

According to the Daily Mail , Trump, who is currently embroiled in a criminal fraud trial , said to the crowd: "Let's talk about hot dogs. I just had one actually. I just had a hot dog, it was very good."

He then shared an anecdote about how Frank Sinatra had reportedly once told him not to eat before a performance but he had ignored that advice due to being a "politician".

Trump then added how his friend, Italian opera singer Pavarotti, had given no such advice.

Flipping back to his love of hot dogs, Trump is then reported to have said that hot dogs and hamburgers are too expensive under President Joe Biden.

"That's why I don’t have bacon anymore, it's too expensive," he added.

Trump, who was branded "unhinged" by Biden at a recent fundraiser, according to CNN , called Joe Biden a "moron" at the heated rally, the New York Post reported.

He said: "You could take the 10 worst presidents in the history of our country, and add them up .. and they haven’t done the damage to our country that this total moron has done."

“He’s a fool, he’s not a smart man. He never was," he added. Biden meanwhile said on Saturday that "something snapped in [Trump]" when he lost the 2020 election.

He said: "He’s not only obsessed with losing in 2020, he’s clearly unhinged. Just listen to what he’s telling people."

Trump also referenced Chris Christie at Saturday's rally, asking the crowd "Does anybody like Chris Christie?", to which a chorus of noes was reportedly heard from the crowd.

Christie went head-to-head with Trump in the GOP primary earlier this year and was extremely outspoken in terms of his disdain for the former President.

However, he failed to win over early state voters and he dropped out of the race ahead of the January 15 Iowa caucases.
