Former childcare worker arrested over 2023 ‘altercation’ with 12-year-old
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A former childcare worker accused of injuring a 12-year-old with autism in a 2023 altercation was arrested Monday. According to a release from Fort Wayne Police, 26-year-old Sheldon Donald Shearer faces a preliminary charge of battery resulting in bodily injury to a person under the age of 14. Shearer is said to be from Churubusco, according to documents filed in the case.
