Motorcyclist injured in Old Baltimore Pike crash
A motorcyclist was injured in a crash south of Newark on Wednesday evening. The two-vehicle crash happened at 5:30 p.m. on Old Baltimore Pike, in the area of Dixie Line Road, according to Leslie V. Antonelli-Hobbs, a spokesperson for New Castle County Paramedics. The 30-year-old motorcyclist was found lying in the roadway after being struck by another vehicle. He was rushed to Christiana Hospital in serious, but stable, condition to be treated for injuries to his extremities and head and possible internal injuries. State troopers are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
