St. Mary of the Lake Family Fest on tap Memorial Day weekend
The St. Mary of the Lake Family Festival is scheduled for May 23-27 at 718 West Buffalo St. in New Buffalo. The carnival provider is Anderson Midways, and the festival will offer food, games and carnival rides for all ages. Advance tickets are $20 until May 19, and all-access, single day wristband sales are available at the event for $25 each. Additional Food vendors will also be available.
New Buffalo students gather to help ‘Make Cancer Extinct’
NEW BUFFALO — The eighth “almost annual” New Buffalo Area Schools district-wide anti cancer 5K fund-raiser came full circle. The May 13 “Make Cancer Extinct” district-wide event held at and around the football field/track facility at the Middle/High School and in Oselka Park, featured a 5K walk and run, a dunk tank, ice cream, face painting, soccer, football, basketball and more.
