Police chase stretched across 2 central Pa. counties before ending in crash
A police chase Monday night that originated in Harrisburg ended in a crash in York County, emergency dispatch and police confirmed. A vehicle was stolen from the area of South 13th and Derry Streets around 10 p.m., Harrisburg police Lt. Kyle Gautsch said. The chase ended at exit 22 of Interstate 83 southbound around 10:30, dispatch said.
88-year-old dies after crashing into tree stump in Cumberland County
An 88-year-old man died soon after a crash at the end of May on a Dickinson Township road, Pennsylvania State Police said. Charles R. Leeds, of Carlisle, was driving south on Walnut Bottom Road around 1:16 p.m. May 31 when he drifted across the northbound lane, off the road and into a tree stump near Centerville Road, according to state police.
