New Bern police investigating another shooting that injures one

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) — New Bern police are investigating another shooting, this one early Friday, that sent someone to the hospital.

Police got a call at around 1:45 a.m. about gunfire near the 100 block of Gurten Street. They found evidence in the parking lot of 30 Sumn Ultra Lounge at 1503 S. Glenburnie Rd. Shortly after, police learned a victim was at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

The evidence concluded that the victim was involved in the incident. They were treated and released. No further information was released.

On Wednesday, three people were shot in an early-morning incident. Two were taken to ECU Health Medical Center. There was no word on whether the two incidents were related.
