NATCHEZ — In 2022, the first-ever multi-class Ram Reunion brought nearly 450 people back home to relive and reminisce the glory days of being a North Natchez Ram.

This year’s bi-annual reunion — taking place Friday, May 24, through Sunday, May 26 — promises to bring more smiles and memories, organizer Monica Smith said.

Bringing together all of the classes of North Natchez High School from 1971 through 1989 is a difficult task, Smith said.

“It’s overwhelming but I love it,” she said. “We’re already planning for 2026 to be bigger and better.”

“The reason I put this on is because it brings the school together — North Natchez’s legacy,” she said. “Each class still has their class reunion, but bringing the school together as a whole is something I’ve always dreamed of doing.”

This year, the North Natchez Rams also are sponsoring a $500 scholarship to a senior from Natchez High School, so that the Ram’s legacy continues, Smith said.

The three-day weekend of celebrating this legacy includes a motorcade, a pep rally, an evening formal and multiple opportunities to socialize, she said.

“We’ll all mingle like we used to do in front of the school, socialize, laugh, hug and shed tears if need be,” she said.

The weekend starts with a meet and greet Friday night at Legacy, located at 261 D’Evereux Drive. Then at noon on Saturday, Rams will gather at the old North Natchez school grounds for a motorcade and pep rally immediately following. Tickets to the pep rally are $5 in advance or $8 at the door.

Saturday evening beginning at 8 p.m., the “Green and Gold Affair” at the Natchez Convention Center calls for semi-formal attire. Tickets to the Green and Gold Affair are $35 each.

Evening highlights include recognition of different organizations from the school — such as football, basketball, band and choir — with a special performance from the North Natchez Ramselles reunited to dance again like only a Ramselle can.

Festivities conclude on Sunday with a church service at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 117 Pilgrim Blvd., with an “Oldies and Goodies” social the following evening at Legacy, Smith said.

Reservations can be made at eventbrite.com, “North Natchez Rams Reunion 24,” or by calling Smith at 601-443-7998.
