Grant Ramey: “Sadly, during my time, there’s not been a ton of nonconference, marque matchups since the 2012 football trips. Oklahoma in 2014 was a lot of fun but that’s obviously no longer in the nonconference category. Pittsburgh was a lot of fun in 2022. Had no idea what was coming after that game. Basketball, the best trip is the November preseason NIT. Your team plays on Wednesday, you get an OFF day in New York City on Thursday for Thanksgiving, and then you play again on Friday – go home Saturday. It’s a really fun week. Obviously, the Maui Invitational. It takes forever to get out there – it’s a haul – but man, it’s fun.”
