Seagulls undefeated season comes to an end in OT
SEAGULL STADIUM, Md.– Washington and Lee defeated Salisbury University in OT in a final score of 16-15 on Saturday afternoon. The Seagulls came out of the gate red hot and would jump out to a 7-1 lead at the end of the 1st period. The Generals would attempt to claw back by going into halftime only down 10-6.
SU advances to super regionals with 4-3 win
SALISBURY, Md.– Salisbury University defeated Randolph-Macon in a final score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon. Randolph-Macon would be the ones to strike first as they would drive in the games first run off a RBI single up the middle. SU would respond right back in the bottom of the 3rd as Abby Mace would tie it up with an RBI double to deep left center.
Mardela softball advances to state semis
MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. – Mardela shutout Bo Manor, 10-0, Friday afternoon to advance to the 1A softball state semifinals. Camryn Dorr and Ava Twilley homered in back-to-back at bats in the third inning. Mardela will play Allegany Tuesday at 4 PM.

LEXINGTON, Va. (WFXR) — The Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team is in a familiar position as they are back in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III tournament. The Generals are taking on Christopher Newport on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Salisbury, Maryland. W & L lost to Christopher Newport back on February 21st in Lexington. Overall, the Generals are playing their best lacrosse as they are on a 16-game winning streak.
SU Women’s Lacrosse beats Babson; moves on to NCAA Quarterfinals
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Women’s Lacrosse Team took down Babson College 15-10 to move on to the NCAA Quarterfinals. Salisbury led wire to wire thanks to their strong first quarter. They led the Bobcats by 4 after the first quarter and by five at halftime. The Gulls would never falter as they were led by Erin Scannell and Caroline Knight’s combined six goals. Parkside Alum Miranda Mears added two goals, including the final goal that put the nail in the coffin.
