Procession route announced for Deputy Tobin Bolter memorial

UPDATE : More details of the procession ahead of the memorial service for Deputy Tobin Bolter have been released.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area of the Ford Idaho Center as thousands are expected to attend the event on April 30.
Starting at 1 pm, Idaho Center Blvd will be closed from Franklin Rd to Cherry Ln. At 5 pm, Franklin Rd from the Idaho Center to Cherry Ln, Idaho Center Blvd will be closed from Flamingo Ave to Cherry Ln, and the Westbound exit of the I-84 at Garrity Blvd will all be closed.
Businesses in the area are offering community parking for those looking to attend the event, Valley Regional Transit will be providing free shuttles from The Gateway Shopping Center near JC Penny in the area. Parking will also be available at the nearby Walmart, CWI, and Edmark Toyota, the public is asked only to park in lots marked with the "funeral parking" signs.
Multiple law enforcement agencies across the valley have announced that they will be closed tomorrow to allow employees to attend the service for Deputy Bolter. Dispatch will still be available for emergency calls but the departments request that parking and traffic calls not be called in during the service.

The procession will begin on SH-55 in Eagle at about 12:30 pm on Tuesday, April 30, and continue through Star, then back into Nampa, eventually stopping at the Ford Idaho Center. The line of vehicles will travel on the route for around 2 hours.

Drivers in the area should expect significant traffic congestion and delays. Citizens along the route are asked to stand in safe places by the roadway on Star Rd between W Joplin and Chinden.
