Ole Miss softball earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, but not without some nail biting. The Rebels (31-25, 7-17 SEC) were one of the last four teams in for the NCAA's selection committee, being placed as the third team in the Louisiana Regional, along with No. 13 overall seed and host Louisiana Lafeyette, Baylor and Princeton. Ole Miss will play the Lady Bears in the first round before potentially playing the winner — or loser — of Ragin' Cajuns and Tigers.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ole Miss track & field's sprint group strung together a historic series of successes to highlight a superb final day of the 2024 SEC Outdoor Championships for the Rebels on Saturday. The Ole Miss throws unit dominated the first two days of competition, but Saturday belonged to the speedsters on the track – particularly the Rebel women following wins in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles, and a historically fast runner-up finish in the 4x100-meter relay.

The Ole Miss Rebels bounced off the bubble and into the 64-team NCAA Softball Tournament on Sunday night. The Rebels (31-25) are heading to the Lafayette Regional hosted by the No. 13 seed Lousiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns (42-17), who will play Princeton (29-16) Friday at 4:30 p.m. CT. Ole Miss' first-round game will be Friday night when they tangle with Baylor (32-20) at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
