Peoria man identified after deadly I-80 crash in Iowa
SCOTT COUNTY, IA. (WMBD) — A Peoria man is dead and two more are injured after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Walcott on Sunday. According to the Sheriff’s office, 52-year-old Eric Fraelle was pronounced dead on the scene. Heather Fraelle and a 16-year-old boy were also transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition is unknown.

FFA strikes GOLD at state competition
West Liberty FFA walked away with gold from April 14-16 during the state competition in Ames, Iowa, at the Hilton Coliseum, a part of the Iowa State University campus. “We had five teams compete,” said FFA Director Zach Morris. “All of them earned gold and placed in the top four.”
Erber named 2024 Ed Morse C.A.P.E. vehicle recipient
Muscatine High School senior Nolan Erber has been named winner of the 2024 Ed Morse Carnival After Prom Extravaganza (C.A.P.E.) vehicle following this year’s draw. Held annually, one senior is chosen at random to win the vehicle on the night of the Carnival After Prom Extravaganza in which all eligible students must be present for a chance to win.
FFA Plant Sale
The annual FFA plant sale is upon us, West Liberty. It’s time to get those gardens ready while supporting the hard work of our local high school students. The West Liberty High School greenhouse currently houses more than 1,200 vegetable plants and nearly 11,500 flowers across 50 varieties of plants.
Two QCA volunteers honored for Iowa Volunteer Hall of Fame
