Morning Sun motorcycle crash victim flown to hospital
MORNING SUN, Iowa (KWQC) - Helicopter transport was called for a man injured in a motorcycle crash in Morning Sun. When Morning Sun Fire Department and Morning Sun Ambulance arrived just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, they saw a rider on the ground and a motorcycle on its side at Blair and Division streets.

Pearl City Buckskinners to hold living history rendezvous in Discovery Park
MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) -The Pearl City Mountain Men invite the public to experience the fur trade era of the 1800s and learn more about the history of the mountain man. The 8th annual Pearl City Buckskinners Rendezvous will be held May 17 to 19 at Discovery Park in Muscatine. It is free to attend and the schedule will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The City of Muscatine was assigned an Aa2 rating from Moody’s Investors Service based on the city’s stable population trends, a growing tax base, stable financial operations, and healthy reserves. Justus to assume role as Mulberry Elementary School Principal
The Muscatine Community School District proudly announces Amy Justus’s appointment as the new Mulberry Elementary School Principal, effective July 1, 2024. Mrs. Justus currently serves as the Social Emotional, and Behavioral Health (SEBH) Lead at Susan Clark Junior High School. Prior to that, Mrs. Justus spent sixteen years as a classroom teacher, three years as an instructional coach, and one year as a leadership teacher. During her tenure with the Muscatine Community School District, Mrs. Justus has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a dedication to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for students and staff.
Muscatine Community School District hosts grand opening of Tom Bruner Baseball Field
MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) - Muscatine High School’s baseball field underwent a major makeover and the school district held a grand opening of the renovated Tom Bruner Field. According to Director of Operations at Muscatine School District, Chris Nienhaus, says the total renovation cost around $2.5 million. The renovations included; bleachers, new fencing, cages, bullpens, concession stand and dugouts.
