LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a highway in Lancaster County early Tuesday morning, authorities said. Nereida Rodriguez, 28, of Washington County, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:33 a.m., according to the Lancaster County Coroner's Office. A preliminary investigation determined she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the roadway on the 3000 block of Lincoln Highway East in Leacock Township.

According to the Susquehanna Regional Police Department, on Feb. 9, 2024, officers received a call from Lancaster County Children and Youth Services regarding an infant who had been admitted to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with injuries.

According to their lawyer, Ethan Wentworth, of Airville, and Rusty Herr, of Christiana, were released earlier this month from York and Lancaster County prisons, respectively, after being arrested on 30-day civil sentences.

Fifty-four-year-old Rodolfo Paradas has been sentenced to three-to-six years for fleeing from the scene of a crash that killed Dr. Steven Killough in 2021. Prosecutors say Paradas hit Killough while he was in a crosswalk near West Chestnut and Prince Streets. Killough was with Lancaster Pediatric Associates for more than 30 years.
