Plenty of color at Banning’s fun run
On Saturday, May 18, an enthusiastic crowd gathered at Gilman Historic Ranch to participate in the city of Banning’s fifth annual Family Color Fun Run. There were kids of all ages, strollers and leashed dogs. After check-in and getting their swag bag, participants made their way to the face-and-hair-decorating table, which was supplied with spray on hair color, do-it-yourself face paint and colorful body jewels.

San Jacinto man who killed friend after slap convicted of murder
A convicted felon who gunned down a 39-year-old San Jacinto man after the victim slapped him during an argument was convicted today of first-degree murder and other charges. A Riverside jury deliberated barely a day before finding Melvin Mario James Landry, 42, of San Jacinto guilty of killing Gilbert Wah in 2020. Along with murder, the panel convicted Landry of sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations.
