Rockingham announces change in garbage pickup schedule
ROCKINGHAM — City residents will now have to separate some of their trash. Wadesboro Native and South Piedmont Alum is Now a Law School Grad
South Piedmont Community College alumna Diana Xavier is now a law school graduate. “South Piedmont was the beginning of a big path for me,” said Xavier. Xavier, a native of Wadesboro, North Carolina, was homeschooled prior to enrolling at South Piedmont in 2015. She received the prestigious Braswell Scholarship and served as a Braswell Ambassador during her time at South Piedmont. Toodle signs with Wingate
Northside senior C. J. Toodle committed to Wingate University for track and field. As a Panther, Toodle specialized in the 400m and the 4×200 relay. He qualified for regionals in both events. He ran a personal best time of 56.02 in the 400m and finished 4th with his teammates in the 4×200 relay, qualifying them for the state championship. The team did not race as well at state, but Toodle said despite that, he enjoyed the state meet the most this season.
