The Moses Lake Police Department (MLPD) has made arrests in the investigation of a drive-by shooting on November 12 that resulted in the death of one man and multiple injuries. Additionally, a DUI suspect was apprehended after a high-speed chase near the Moses Lake golf course.

This week in Grant County, Washington, several incidents occurred that required law enforcement intervention. These incidents include the discovery of an illegal cockfighting operation during a drug search warrant, a deputy thwarting a theft in rural Quincy, arrests made in connection with a drive-by shooting that resulted in a fatality, a high-speed chase involving a DUI suspect near Ephrata, a fatal rollover crash, and another DUI suspect apprehended after a high-speed chase near a golf course in Moses Lake.

This week in Quincy, Washington, a Grant County Deputy thwarted a theft during a routine patrol. The deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle towing a trailer with improper lighting and a large propane tank. Upon conducting a traffic stop, the driver was apprehended. Additionally, two new officers were sworn in at the Quincy Police Department, and Officer Sal Mancini was recognized for his 20 years of service.

SPOKANE, Wash. - A Spokane Valley man was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for Possession with Intent to Distribute at least 40 grams of Fentanyl. 

A George man is in jail after police say he was found in possession of stolen property near Quincy on Monday (Nov. 20) night. Deputies with the Grant County Sheriff's Office pulled over a pickup truck pulling a large propane tank on a trailer with non-working tail lights in the area of Road 3 Northwest and Road O Northwest at around 11:30 p.m.

QUINCY – A Grant County Deputy's vigilance during a routine patrol led to the apprehension of a suspect involved in theft in the Quincy area on Monday. The incident occurred on November 20 around 11:30 pm when a deputy, assigned to monitor the area due to a spike in thefts, spotted a suspicious 1984 Dodge pickup towing a trailer on Rd 3 NW near Rd O NW.

Three people have been arrested in connection to a deadly drive-by shooting in Moses Lake. Police say that the suspects range from 17 - 20 years old.

Grant County has been witness to a notable increase in law enforcement actions with six individuals being arrested within a two-day period. Sheriff Todd McKinley's office released a statement detailing the apprehension of four individuals for various offenses, followed by two additional arrests confirmed by dispatch logs. The offenses ranged from outstanding warrants to theft, highlighting the Sheriff's Office's resolve in upholding law and order.

The tranquility of Moses Lake was shattered on Sunday, November 12th, when a fatal shooting claimed the life of 22-year-old Armando Benavidez. The Grant County Coroner's Office has confirmed that Benavidez, a resident of Moses Lake, died from a gunshot wound to the torso after the incident in the 400 block of Linden Avenue. Declared deceased at 3:09 p.m., his passing has left the community in a state of grief.

In a somber incident on a Wednesday afternoon, three Wenatchee residents were hospitalized following a significant traffic collision at the intersection of SR 281 and SR 281 Spur, north of George, Washington. The crash involved a 1996 Honda Accord, driven by Jennifer Hill, 34, of Moses Lake, as she was turning left onto SR 281 Spur. Her vehicle was struck by a northbound 2022 Honda CR-V, operated by Rosalio Ibarra, 56, of Bridgeport.
