Dayville water system fixed and reservoir is filling
DAYVILLE – Dayville Public Works Director Savannah Martin was on KJDY’s Coffee Time Wednesday morning, discussing the current water situation in Dayville. Last Thursday, February 8th, a leak was detected in the Dayville water system, resulting in the complete drainage of their water reservoir tower, as well as the entire water distribution system.
Boil Water Notice still in effect for Dayville residents
DAYVILLE – UPDATE (2/13 ): According to an update from the City of Dayville, another leak has been found in the city’s water system. The release states that the reservoir has not been increasing as well as Dayville Publics Works thought it should, and following a search, another large leak was located. The leaking line has been shut off, and staff believe water will begin to restore the reservoir as it should.
Leak in Dayville prompts a “Boil Water Advisory”
DAYVILLE – The City of Dayville is currently under a “Boil Water Advisory.”. A boil water notice has been issued for all residents on the Dayville city water system. A leak occurred overnight Wednesday, completely draining the reservoir. Dayville Public Works has located the leak and the area has been shut off. The crew does not know how long it will take for the reservoir to fill back up and are asking residents to boil their water before ingesting to eliminate possible contamination, and to continue doing so until further notice.
Real Heroes: Monument Volunteer Ambulance
MONUMENT – Monument Volunteer Ambulance Director Rose Howe was on KJDY’s Coffee Time Wednesday morning, as part of Elkhorn Media Group’s recognition of our local communities’ Real Hero volunteers. Howe, an EMT Intermediate, has been a volunteer with the ambulance for 26 years in Monument.
