MONTVILLE, NJ — Watchung Hills softball continues to roll. Riley Bobrowski went 4 for 5, and threw a 6 inning complete game, giving up 4 hits with 14 strikeouts to lead Watchung Hills to a 15-1 win over Montville on Monday. Tia Shikar went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs, and Mia Simon, Arianna Hughes and Maddie DiSarno each drove in 2 runs. Ella Stevinson collected 3 hits to contribute to the Warriors 18 hit attack.

“Today was a very good win for us," said WHRHS head coach Brian Figueriedo. " Montville has been playing really good softball as of late and their pitcher has been outstanding so getting a couple early runs was big.  We did a good job of getting out of some key defensive situations and that enabled us to add on a bit offensively throughout the game until we pulled away late.  You never expect to have 35 combined hits in 2 games, but we’re swinging the bats really well, especially in 2 out situations.  We just need to continue to take good at bats, and the results will follow.  We have a busy week ahead, which continues with a division rival in Bridgewater-Raritan tomorrow, so we’ll enjoy this one tonight and get ourselves ready for a tough division game tomorrow.”
