This Week in Lincolnville: The Store in the Center
Knight’s Store, Bill’s Store, The Center General. The building smack in the center of the Center has long been the place to get all manner of goods. In the old days it was a true General Store, selling dry goods, clothing and boots, seasonal toys and gifts. Most households tried to produce everything they needed, relying on the general stores for those items they could not make on their own little farms.
Memorial Day 2024 in Lincolnville
It was overcast for the Memorial Day Parade this year, but the rain held off, and the townspeople came out. Sheriff Trundy’s cruiser was followed by the honor guard and members of American Legion Post 30. The Camden Regional High School band marched, and the Lincolnville Town Band were there, as were out fire trucks and the usual assortment of antique vehicles we all look for at a small town parade.
