Three charged after weapons found on campus at Newton High School
COVINGTON — Three Newton High School students, including one juvenile, were taken into custody April 15 in connection with weapons on campus. The Newton County Sheriff’s Office reported that the school was placed on lockdown at about 12 noon April 15 after a video on social media was discovered showing two students with what appeared to be a magazine and a handgun.
