L-S boys finish third, C-M ninth at SICL track and field meet
MARENGO — The streak is over. After winning the conference title in four straight seasons, the Lynnville-Sully boys track and field team was limited to one victory on April 30 and when the meet finally ended three days later, the Hawks were in third place of the 11-team field.

MARENGO — The South Iowa Cedar League girls track and field title was not decided when the meet was suspended due to weather with two events to go on Tuesday. When some of the teams returned to Iowa Valley High School on Friday, the end result was a runner-up finish for Lynnville-Sully.

OSKALOOSA — There were 23 golfers who posted a score few than 90 during the South Iowa Cedar League boys golf tournament on April 30. But Lynnville-Sully’s Keegan DeWitt was the only one from the area as the Hawks placed seventh and Colfax-Mingo was ninth in the 10-team field at the par 72 Oskaloosa Golf Course.
