Mid-Penn track and field: How Franklin County athletes fared at the championship meet
Chambersburg's boys' track and field team earned second place at Saturday's Mid-Penn Conference track and field championships. The Trojans were paced by Aiden Alleman, who ran to a first-place finish in the 3,200 meters, and Peter Mertz, who earned silver in the shot put and discus. Jermere Jones added a silver in the 110 hurdles, and Antonio Harrison II and Owen Shrader both won bronze in the 200 and 800, respectively. Jon Dawe and Kaden Rife earned top-eight finishes for points, as did the 400 and 3,200 relay teams.
Franklin County car dealership celebrates expansion
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Franklin County car dealership is expanding. Fitzgerald Auto Malls opened its new showroom in Chambersburg Friday. It replaces the now-demolished former showroom, and is triple the size. They now have more than 100 employees — a 10% increase.
Boston Police Nab Suspect Ahmad Lewis in Roxbury Shooting, Charges Include Assault and Firearm Offenses
Gunshots in Roxbury have resulted in an arrest, with the Boston Police Department confirming the apprehension of a suspect linked to a recent shooting incident. Ahmad Lewis, a 28-year-old Boston resident, was detained by the Youth Violence Strike Force near 100 Washington Street in Quincy. The arrest occurred after authorities issued warrants for a series of charges against Lewis, including unlawful firearm and ammunition possession, firearm discharge within 500 feet of a dwelling, and assault and battery with a firearm.
