Class of ’24 high school seniors named to Academic All-State teams for spring sports, winter activities
ST. GEORGE — With the close of the 2023-24 comes another illustrious class of Academic All-State honorees, as named by the Utah High School Activities Association. Those receiving the prestigious awards are high school seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average that is at or very near a perfect 4.0.
Driver cited for failure to stop following T-bone collision at Cedar City intersection
CEDAR CITY — One driver was cited for failing to heed to a stop sign following a T-bone collision in a residential area of Cedar City on Friday afternoon. Duck Creek Campground receives $2.1M for renovations. Some areas will be closed

Homeowners, cats displaced following house fire near Red Cliffs Mall in St. George
ST. GEORGE — A house fire near the Red Cliffs Mall displaced the homeowner and their four cats Friday afternoon, according to the fire officials. The St. George Fire Department and other first responders were dispatched to a home in the Cottonwood Drive neighborhood off Twin Lakes Drive around 3:20 p.m. after a passerby saw the fire on the home’s balcony and called authorities, St. George Fire Battalion Chief Robert Hooper said.
