The Jan. 15 discovery kicked off months of investigations, lab tests, disinfections, retests and sampling that led the city to cite operators at the Meta Cheyenne Data Center for “serious noncompliance” with wastewater discharge standards, a $10,000 fine and potentially cleanup costs.
