OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced multiple overnight lane closures, bridge work, and traffic shifts across Okaloosa and Walton counties this week as construction and resurfacing projects continue throughout the region. OKALOOSA COUNTY — Brooks Bridge Replacement Project Drivers may encounter intermittent nighttime closures of Brooks Street beneath Brooks Bridge from Tuesday, May 19, through Thursday, May 21, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. as crews work on the new westbound bridge, according to the FDOT. Signage will direct drivers through the work zone. Drivers may also encounter intermittent lane closures on U.S. 98, from Ferry Road to Pier Road, and on Santa Rosa Boulevard, from east of Amberjack Drive to Ross Marler Park, during nighttime construction operations. — Interstate 10 at P.J. Adams Parkway Interchange Beginning the week of Sunday, May 17, drivers traveling westbound on Interstate 10 will encounter a new traffic pattern at the P.J. Adams Parkway Interchange, future Exit 53. The FDOT said westbound travel lanes will shift onto the newly constructed overpass as part of the interchange project.
