Softball Game Preview: Sumner Hits the Road
The Sumner Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Washington Academy Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sumner is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Bucksport on Wednesday. They lost 10-1 to the Golden Bucks. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Sumner has scored all season.
Baseball Game Preview: Yarmouth on Home-Turf
Yarmouth is 9-1 against Gray-New Gloucester since April of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Yarmouth Clippers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Yarmouth's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Gray-New Gloucester's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
