How much did it rain last night in Milwaukee and southern Wisconsin?

Southern Wisconsin saw two days of on-and-off rainfall to begin the week Monday and Tuesday.

Monday saw heavy rain with nearly an inch of rainfall in Milwaukee and more than 1.5 inches in some areas, including Beloit, Lake Geneva and Janesville.

Precipitation was lighter Tuesday in the Milwaukee area, with rainfall totaling only about two-tenths of an inch. But, the area experienced strong wind gusts.

Wednesday is expected to be dry but cooler, with a high around 40 in Milwaukee, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Temps in the 40s will continue through Friday, and rain is likely to return Friday night.
